LOL Fuse, I don't know these kind of things. No option that says "don't know". My Mazda 929 was considered foreign but I don't know where it was made. Now I'm into cadillacs and I think they are American made. There are just some things that I don't know much about. I know how to get in and drive over the speed limit, and talk sweet to the cop when I get caught. Roll Eyes Wink

I have had 7 cars. I drove a Mazda Pickup for 3 years, a Nissan Pickup for 2 years, a Ford Ecnoline Wagon van for 1 year, a Hyundai Sonata for 1 year, a Ford Tarus SHO for 1 year, a Dodge Stratus for 1 year and a Hyundai Elantra GT for over 1 year now.

I know Mazda and Hyundai are foreign.

I get confused with Hyundais. Mechanics do too. Some say it's a Canadian car, others say it's Korean. Some even think it is a Korean car with parts from Canada. I don't know. All I know is that it's a hassle to get parts sometimes. And they are kinda on the spendy side.

But anyway, I guess the cars I had the most were foreign.

I have a Honda but it was actually assembled in Ohio. In fact, Honda opened it's first assembly plant in 1979 for motorcyles and then in 1982 opened a car plant. Yup, they've been producing Honda's for over 20 years. I don't imagine many Honda's come from the Japan and China plants anymore.

There's a Ford in my future! Wink
Since March, I've driven a Ford Taurus SES - love it! Big Grin

Before that, I drove a Chevy Lumina; before that, an older Chevy Lumina; before that, an Olds Cutlass Ciera; before that, a Ford Fairmont; before that, a Ford Mustang II.
And that's not counting other vehicles we've had over the years - just the ones I personally drove!
Every major car in my life has been American-made (mostly Fords) except for my son's Nissan Sentra XE.
I don't really object to "foreign" cars - it just worked out that way.

And before I drove, I walked - and my feet were made in America! Razz

If you drive a:
  • Chevy Avalanche
  • Dodge Durango
  • Chrysler PT Cruiser

-or many other assorted vehicles, you're not driving American...those are all made in Mexico.

Most of those Nissans are built about 25 miles south of where I am sitting. Have been for over 20 years. Mercedes are built in Alabama. BMWs in South Carolina. Hondas in Ohio. My SVT Focus was built in Mexico. Seems to me that there are more "domestic" cars built outside our borders than there are "foreign" ones.

Mine's a Honda ... foreign owned company, but 80% of Hondas sold in the US are made in the US, so, more likely than not, mine's American made.
