Question:
Say you had a Lead position at your job. And say you had a bad supervisor in your workplace. And they were constantly yelling at you for petty stuff and forever doing things they knew they weren't supposed too. Would you...

Please Explain swhy you would or wouldn't...

Choices:
go immediatly to the director (even if he's only been there for a month)
make their life a living hell(hoping they'll quit)
grin and bear it
find work elswhere (even if you know you'll never find another job with better pay)

I was in this situation about 2 years ago. I voted the way I handled it. It wasn't necessarily the best way, but it worked out very well for me.

While I didn't immediately find a job that paid as well, it did lead me down the path to the best job I could imagine.

I would pick none of the above. I would try to talk to the supervisor face to face and work things out. If that does not work I would go over the supervisor’s head (repeatedly if necessary) to the next level of management and tell them what is wrong and how it is causing moral problems that are adversely effecting production.

This supervisor, whom we shall call Dora, did some bad stuff.

To make a long story short, she talked about another employees FMLA in front of me and one other emplyee from another department. We wrote statements (me and this guy) and Dora lied and said that I was the one talking about it.

The manager (whom the new director recently fired) did nothing to her.

She recently butted her nose in deli affairs (we have a deli supervisor, and it is not her. She is buffet supervisor) The new director asked her how thre employee comp'd lunches worked on graveyard (my shift) She took it upon herself to tell him and got it all msessed up.

I've known Dora for years and she thinks she is perfect. I have actually heard her say that the "Food and Beverage Department" could not run w/o her. There is absolutly no reasoning w/ her because she does not see the way she is.

I am stuck in between a rock & a hard place! Frown

Once again, I am late in my replies. I do apologize.

To make a long story short, as of right now, "Dora" is pending investigation for harrassing another Food and beverage supervisor.
When the Director was informed, he went to HR and they are investigating.

I am keeping my fingers crossed!!
