I have ALWAYS been a Miracle Whip kid...got it from my parents I imagine. I just really prefer the bit of zing in MW over Mayo. To me, Mayo tastes like nothing!
Don't worry hon, I'll always have BOTH kinds in the fridge

I grew up with miracle whip, hated the stuff, so the minute I moved out I started buying mayo. Helmans is the best!!!! I do like deviled eggs and tater salad make with miracle whip, it just adds that extra flavor, but as far as on sammiches its mayo all the way

Renee, I'm with you all the way.I tried miracle whip only on sandwiches and didnt like it so I didnt try it after that period, UNTIL....Giz she made some egg salad with miracle whip and I did like the added flavour. Enjoy and keep Smiling
I prefer mayo myself over miracle whip. I hate it. it's wretched stuff no matter what it is on/in whatever. Miracle Whip is pure poison.
No offense to all you die hard Miracle whip fans though.
Something kind of funny though on a side note. Back during the whole Y2K scare, my grandmother decided to "stockpile" some food. In a cupboard in the garage, she had several large cans of tuna fish and...severl large jars of...Miracle Whip! (yes, she was a hardcore Miracle Whip fanatic)

I like both (as long as the mayo is Duke's) but can't imagine why anyone thinks one is a replacement for the other. They are different products altogether! Miracle has both a sweet and sour flavor, while mayo has neither. They are as different as ketchup and mustard, except for a close color resemblance.

Fuse, a lot of people don't even know that they are different...I had a friend who claimed to hate tuna, potato, egg salad, etc....anything made with "mayo" he finally tried my mom's potato salad and loved it, we figured out that he thought Miracle Whip was mayo.
