Describe to us in great detail, from the bread, to the meat, right down to the condiments and even the chips you like best, when you order your favorite sub at the deli.

We don’t have subs here. Groton Connecticut is about 70 miles away Razz.

We have heros here. Big Grin

Boar’s Head® Liverwurst and yellow American cheese on a sesame seed “club roll”. (Kind of like half a hero Wink) Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise® generously applied to both sides of the sliced open club roll Smile.

I don’t like too much mayonnaise Mad, just an even coating. I don’t like too much liverwurst or cheese on there either Mad. I hate those super thick sandwiches Mad.

In the winter (Razz) I will get a bag of Fritos Brand Corn Chips®, or potato chips. I might opt for seeded rye toast in lieu of the club roll Roll Eyes.

In the summer (Cool) I will go with the ¼ pound of macaroni or potato salad as a side. I pick the one depending on what looks fresher Wink.

I wash it all down (regardless of season) with a Diet Coke®. Big Grin

1. Only at Leo's...(will not eat this other places)

A hot pastrami sandwich with swiss cheese on rye with a light coating of Duke's mayo and Leo's special homemade hot mustard. It requires about a gallon of Leo's famous sweet tea, with chipped ice and real lemon, to restore one's tongue! Dill pickle and Ruffles Potato Chips on the side.

2. Roast Beef Hoagie au jus at McAlister's delis. Chips and dill pickles on the side, with iced tea.

3. At places I don't know, I'm an Italian sub guy. A homemade sourdough bread is an exceptional treat.

4. At home, I like piles of thinly-sliced rare Boar's Head roast beef with a little coarse ground pepper on "PWT" (white) bread with about a quarter inch of Duke's mayo.

You Yankees have just got to get your hands on Duke's mayonnaise. You will never want Hellman's again.

I like meatball subs.. the bread varies.. With mozzerala, or cheddar cheese.. and parmeasan cheese. hot or warm, or even cold..

I also like turkey, and ham subs, with different cheeses, mayo, mustard, sometimes ketchup, lettuce pickles, and maybe a tomato... With either cheetos or ruffles.. bread varies.

A foot-long roast beef on whole wheat or white, depending on my mood at the moment Smile, with cheese, mustard and mayo, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onions, and olives. Along with a large Pepsi and regular Sun Chips. I might live in a very small town, but not too small to have a Subway here. Smile

I used to work at a place near "The Cheese Shop" in Concord, MA - - wish I could go there for lunch today...

Fresh baked french bread
with their homemade chicken salad (had just a bit of mayonnaise, tarragon, pecans and grapes in it)
I'd get that with honey mustard, havarti cheese and romaine lettuce!!

Man I wish it was close by!!!!! Frown

I don't know if it's consdiered a sub or not but Safeway makes one heck of a good one!

You can have it on a whole wheat baguette, sourdough or foccia bread.

They put a ranch spread, avocado spread, bacon, roasted turkey, lettuce and tomatoe. The sucker is huge!!
