My boots are Polish in origin, yet it says British on the box
 Where I Live (Lancashire)there used to be the Majority of footwear makers in the UK, the rest were in the Midlands (Northants?) but since the 1970's most footwear sold has been made abroard Some quite good quality The UK manufacturing market collapsed Big Time  As P~A says the brand you think is an"All American" label may be made up in the Far East?
