Well... I just washed my car for the 2nd time in a single calendar year and was wondering how often others here washed theirs. Well ?

Question:
How often do you wash your vehicle ?

Choices:
At least once a week
Every couple weeks
Every couple months
A couple times a year when it gets filthy
You can wash cars ? Wow !

we wash it whenever...Ok. Every once in a blue moon. Couple times of year probably. It rains alot here. You know. Everytime we have nice weather and then all of a sudden out of nowhere it starts raining,Paul goes 'OK. Who washed their car?"

But really. The car doesn't get too awful dirty. We don't drive down dusty roads or through mud or anything. It just has knicks and dings all over it from the stupid incompetant employees who can't park their cars in the employee parking lot at work. Mad But that's a whole different story. Roll Eyes

And oh yes. Beings we live on the Oregon Coast, I fogot about the lovely little seagulls. You be all nice and go to the beach and feed the seagulls and what do they do? They thank you by bombing your car. Mad Mad

I voted "You wash cars? Wow!"

I have never washed my car..what's the point? Snow, ice, rain, mud, and then dust in the summer. It's a waste of time. Just keep the windshield and the lights clean ..that's all that's necessary.

I voted for "A couple times a year," although I may actually wash it up to three or four times a year, if it really becomes embarrassingly dirty.

This thread reminds me of one of my favorite DP threads, wherein Dogspit shared with us the news that he'd changed a lightbulb in his house! Big Grin

I wash my car at least once a week. It is redish colored and shows dirt really easily. I do drive down a lot of unpaved roads and I do like it to stay clean; so washing it at least once a week is normal for me. (twice last week) I also hate the brake dust that gets on the rims, especially the front rims so I clean them all the time too Roll Eyes .

I never feed those lovely seagulls, but they do regularly bombard my vehicles Razz . Maybe they pick on he because I get my dog to "herd" them all the time Roll Eyes

Clean as can be
Squeaky clean again Big Grin

My wife's car is gold colored and hides dirt much easier, so I wash that one about every other week. I washed her car this past weekend because she parked under a tree at the train station late last week. It is the time of year here that the stupid starlings bunch up and fly around in circles. They like to rest in that tree Mad .

I like seeing your dog. Does he sit in the passenger seat?

Yes he does, don't most people? Wink He is not possessive about it. When it is just Pal and I he always rides shotgun and that is most of the time. He sits or lies down on the front seat. I have a modified beach towel (two actually so I can keep one clean at all times Roll Eyes ) that has a hole that goes over the headrest and completely covers the seat.

When my bride gets into my vehicle I always open the door for her (and Pal) he hops in and sits on the passenger seat and I tell him " get in the back " and he walks over the console and hops into the backseat. I then shake off the custom towel and flip it around so my bride does not have to sit on damp sandy dog hair covered seat Big Grin . When I used to drive the van a lot I used a regular towel.

We go to the beach all the time, and when Pal is hot he likes to cool off by wading into the water. His coats is great and once he is dry a quick brushing and there is no sand on him at all, however he gets wet a lot so I shake off the sand off my seat on a daily basis Roll Eyes .

Pal is a great traveling companion and is very well behaved in the car.

Some say going to the beach every day is great, but some of us know better ; but I go anyway because my dog loves it regardless of how cold it is.

(sorry about the topic thingy Dawg, but we are talking dogs Roll Eyes )

Oscar is absolutely adorable dg! He's got that mischievous look, I love it. Big Grin

I think that photo of Pal on the frozen tundra is ok dg, but the light angle was not so good so he did not come out as clear as it should have. (I should have turned him around so you could see his handsome face Wink ) Silly dope loves the snow and ice. He rolls, and rolls around on it and has a blast. Eek
