Well, these kinds of lists are always difficult because people label music their own way. Is Black Sabbath "hard rock" or "metal"? Are the Doors, Cheap Trick, Pat Benatar, and Frank Zappa "hard rock" or just "rock"? Confused Smile

A lot of good bands on the list, though.

Anybody else kinda find it funny that Spinal Tap made #75 when really they weren't a 'real' band. Roll Eyes Got a good laugh out of that.

Cool list. The room for argument on this, like any other "Top blah blah list" is unfathomable, BUT, I will say that Bad Brains and Husker Du should be much higher on the list, especially if you ever saw either one of them live.

Totally fine with Zep #1.

Didn't see Santana or Chicago on the list---which is a joke..perhaps because those bands changed styles slightly over the years..But if anyone needs proof as to if/how they rocked, get any album of either group from 1970-75 --just amazing stuff.. Cool
