February 3,1959 Rock stars Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. Yes, Mrs. S--a very sad day-- if anything, the more you hear the music of today, the more you appreciate the contributions of people like them. Thanks for remembering..

That happened a year before I was born, but the influence they had on music lives on. Plus one of the greatest tribute songs came from that tragedy, American Pie by Don McLean.
