Paul & I went to the INXS concert that came to our casino here in Lincoln City, Or. They toured with t he new Rock group, Lovehammers.

They were pretty darn good. (although I must say lovehammer sounded soooooo much better in cincert than they do on CD.)

The lead singer of Lovehammers, Marty Casey, was the 2nd runner up on the INXS Rock Star show.

The new led singer for INXS, JD Fortune, sounded pretty awsome. He was no Michael Hutchence(RIP Frown ) but still pretty good.

The local paper talked about it and said that JD sounded like Michael and that if you closed your eyes, you'd swear it was him. Yeah right Roll Eyes

Anyway, the concert pretty much ROCKED!
They sang 2 of my favorite songs by them, Original Sin and What You Need. However, IMHO, I thought New Sensation sounded the best live.
They even sang songs off of their new album, Switch. Afterglow was pretty good as is Pretty Vegas.

That is the first time I have ever seen INXS. Would I ever see them again? Probably. Smile

Have any of you ever seen INXS? Any of you lucky enough to have seen Michael Hutchence perform?

I never saw them perform with Hutchence. I might go to see them with J.D. as front man, mostly because I enjoyed much of the show and had him pegged as the winner early.

No, but I thought he was wonderful -- great singer and performer, very charismatic, beautiful. I was a big INXS fan in the '80s -- many good albums, my all-time favorite INXS song is "Original Sin." Michael Hutchence's death was a true tragedy.

You can watch some of their '80s videos here.
