The Great Maurice,that "King of Cards" has an interesting puzzle for you.He has removed the 12 face cards from the deck and arranged them in a secret order. Taking hold of these cards he deals them out in the following manner:

He alternately deals one card face up onto the table and then puts the next card under the rest of the cards in his hand.He continues dealing in this fashion until all of the cards are face-up on the table in a row.The surprise is that the cards are grouped together by suit and are in order by king,queen and jack.

The Great Maurice challenges you to discover the original "secret" order he arranged them in in order to make this stunt happen.

Just to make a point clear,the solution given to me will have "the Hearts" coming out first followed by "the Spades",then "The Diamonds" and finally "the Clubs".

I haven't tried with an alternative choice of suits.

I am pretty sure that some of you already know what the rank of some cards should be by now.

Here's a hint:Card #2 starting some the top of the deck when having the 12 cards in your hand face down, is the King of Diamond.

Here's the answer.When the 12 cards have been set up in the correct order,and the deck has been turned face down, the order of the cards from the top card down,will be;

KH,KD,QH,KC,JH,QD,KS,JC,QS,JD,JS,QC.

(KH= KING OF HEART...ETC
