Can you replace each letter by a number (using same letter for the same number)and make a correct mathematical operation? What is this meant when ordered in a restaurant?

ONE
+ ON
THE
-----
CITY

Nice puzzle! I haven't worked the math out, but "one on the city" used to mean a (free) glass of water in a bar or restaurant.
