You know, the original server I had AnswerPool.com on, reported the countries. Within a year there were more than 74 countries already listed in the stats. Unfortunately I do not think infopop does that.

But I am guessing if the country has electricity, it most likely has AnswerPool.com on a monitor somewhere.

I am not doing anything except clicking on the New members link if they have not posted on AP out of curiousity and as you can see it has reaped all of these...Have not gone into the Members list ..Am working with the latest Intake

And you know of me Promoting AP elsewhere Have not been doing that in a while

If that was implemented on AP and see us having a growing Palm tree? which when it tops out turns a different color and grows again...Though I think is a "Fill the Bag" go up a level empty the Bag method employed on Answerbag

So Even if that site is Rot there are some good technical Things to look at that might work here?

AP has no known members from Hungary, and we have had a member from Greece since at least December 2005. Yesterday, someone joined from Bucharest, Romania, but that was a spammer pushing a skin care cream. (Amazingly, just 4 days after another person from Romania joined, posting about the same skin care product! What are the odds of that happening?) That person is no longer a member.

Mike, please do not spam Wikipedia with any subtle references to AnswerPool. I don't want to have to make another phone call apologizing to a web site owner.

Back in the day, when I was still sitting in the drivers seat, I got a legal document from a law firm ordering that all references to their clients product be removed from AnswerPool.com and all of it's meta tags. Their product name was fourX (the number not the word, I used the word to keep Koz from getting the same email). Their product was actually only mentioned once on the whole site, and it was just someone trying to plug the product as working for them. The entirety of the rest of the posts containing that phrase were about speed or magnification of light. So I deleted the plug and had my prepaid attorney (something every webmaster of a big community needs) to send them a "get ripped" letter...

Some of these people take this kind of thing very seriously.

"stealth" is the word mike I think you have what it takes.

AnswerPool.com does not need members bad enough to risk Dorians financial welfare. And I am telling you quite honestly, there is a real danger if a site with some angry owners decide to mess with him. We are talking about AnswerPool.com getting shut down. It could happen, so I would let nature take it's course in regard to members showing up.

I have seen AnswerPool.com in the search results for at least dozens of things I was looking for in the last couple of years. People will find the site.

I have looked at this thread every time I have come to the site. My interest here is as the father of a child who is now under the care of a trusted relative.

People do not realize, AnswerPool.com is not like a 'myspace account'. I don't hang around enough to know if he has mentioned it on Ap, but the site literally costs him thousands of dollars per year and if it closes for any reason he pissed away all that money and time.

It is well intended spam, not stealth. Pretending to be ignorant does not keep people from filing law suits. In spite of what any disclaimer says, the site owners are liable for the content on their site and this thread itself constitues internet espionage, to a degree.

Granted it is well understood and much appreciated that others care enough about the site to want to perpetuate it's existance, but sometimes too much of a good thing can be poison.

All of this is my personal opinion and does not reflect the discussed opinion of anyone else.

Nothing personal Mike and I speak for myself not DG but you should stop what you're doing however well intentioned.
These sites are about questions,answers,discussions,helping others,opinions,having fun and so much more.

What I don't believe is that we are about recruitment and promotion other than word of mouth.

I respect all of your contributions over the years but your drive for growth could very well cause harm to the site, it's members and owner.

But on the other hand I have made you aware of its presence and a quick glance at how it works and If we can use any of those ideas here for free(doubt if they are exclusive We "develop our way" They have the financial clout yet DG works Miracles from pennies Um Bit early to ask but are the Lighbulbs coming out of the stores for Xmas this year?

There is actually a passage in the AP rules that requests that AP members NOT do what you're doing, Mike.
